AN EGG WITH REMINISCENT PROPERTIES - Poetry Collection in English

AN EGG WITH REMINISCENT PROPERTIES

13. "Plum Blossoms”

Amidst the mist so fine

Beneath the blue spring sky

I cut the gloom

My heart is light

The soul takes flight

Like a plum in full bloom

14. “Jade”

Feel like I'm in a beef with Cupid

But what can I do?

Her fragrance feels the air with light

Her fan is open

Her jade hairpin

Cutting through the night

15. “Lotus”

The sea rolling before us

We found a love that's too divine

In the absence of faith

A place for refugees

From a world too chaotic to be

16. "Red Cliff"

Solitude of a mountain

Cries for lullabies so soft

As we gaze up at the majesty

Wild geese fly like needlework

The cliff stands

Like a drunk in the moonlight

But in its gentle whispers

I hear the voice of this universe

Calling me home

17. “Firefly”

Temple bells are dying out

As I kneel in prayer

Fire holds the sky

And I contemplate the mysteries

Of what might have been

Another springtime comes

With its promise of rebirth

18. “A Misty Night”

In a crowded room

A symphony of the urban jungle

Between arguments

And the smell of wok

I am lost in thought

19. “High seas”

The moon is madly pulling

Oceans stretch out to infinity

Winds keep howling secrets

The waves crash one after another

In the rhythm of life and death

20. “Sanctuary”

My heart overflowing

With the bliss of a renewal

In the quiet of a forest

That I dare not name

I found a sanctuary

21. “Still Life”

My wandering mind

Making hands clench

A few blades of grass

And the universe

They share between them

Otherwise, we’d be blown away

Time is quickly passing

And now I'm old

22. “Daruma”

If I could understand the birds

And the fine waltz they compose

Pridefully piercing the sky

And its gentle breeze

Wrapping a golden field

Whose rustling reminds me

Of a worn-out flute

23. “Lanterns”

The reflections flicker over the lake

The peaks keep poking heaven

A red leaf falls into the vibrant tapestry

Butterflies fly around like brushstrokes

And a flock in the distance

Giving the old shepherd

A sense of belonging

24. “Chopsticks”

Circling through my hometown

Nostalgic for a slender waist

Moonshine gently bathing

My wounded countryside

I stagger for this autumn

Now my clothes don't even

Fit me anymore

25. “Subway”

As the landscapes kept repeating

The local fishermen told me if the

Balls of cotton candy in the sky

Are the first ever theater

What's disturbing my sleep

Is not a monster

But a silly wandering flea

And the heavy road

I need to cross

26. “Kingdom””

If a bribe was enough

To buy this crimson-setting sun

Whom even the king can’t order around

I’d be the first in line

Over the sound of deep fatigue

Coming from the city

I cannot hear the river

Telling ancient tales

27. “Lost in Translation”

Concrete carved in lifelines

Smoke pinching the stars

Grasping salvation

But the cross

Is getting heavier

28. “Crossroad”

I stand rumpled up

In the morning trolly

Like a nut in a bag

Tremor squeezing my eyes

As I’m slowly stepping away
I melt into black tea
And so do all the bruises and rain

29. "Howling"

We became strangers

With each other's secrets

But the magic never stopped coming

If you could tell me your name

And pretend it's the first time

Nothing could stop me from being yours

Even though at first

I slammed the door

30. "Wave Season"

Morphing

In a seductive dance

Of the misty wrangling sons

Whispering a slow heartbeat

To the tapestry of

Ruined lungs

31. "Perfect Blue"

In the nodes of veins

Of a rippling mind

In the silent hymn

Of the cerulean skies

A mirage is taking over

And the sight is lost

In my cerulean eyes

3. “My Lost Love”

Remember the times when I had to

Dilute your love in order to take it all

How the world ran out of air

But neither of us really cared

We just remained, running wild

Not minding whatever was passing by

It’s been too long to long for

But seems like I can’t snap out of it

The sky came crashing down on us

To cut right through the gloom

My lost love, you didn't see that

You sobered up

11. “Talking is Overrated”

I’ve been living carefully

Trying to catch you

But you got further.

I’m out of breath,

I swallow stars

And color my mind

The color of your eyes

And hold out my hand like

There is something

That I’m searching for

This red sunset

Is getting slippery

In the sunrise – it’s you,

In the deep nights – it’s you,

What can you do

To keep me here?

Talking is overrated,

And not what I’m looking for,

I want to cover all expenses

If you just let me explore

12. “Blue Blood”

I'm feeling woozy and I am calling a cab

And I am licking all the blue walls so my blood loses tan

I sober up 'til the devil dances

Soak my heart in past romances

Drinking my bad-decision juice

In search of the answers

I can't do hypnosis but be sure I can bluff

Let me show you how to be guilty

And still, come out of the cuffs

32. "Arms in the Valley"

Like a nun

The old oak tree in prayer

And the birds descending

Carrying a crown

The cosmic waltz that's all around

Spreading the slow slow

Rhythm of the dying sun

And if we were ever so small

We would find our mushroom and sit under it

Until there is nothing to sit under

33. "The Tofu Switch"

Behind vases and the sound of flute

Thoughts go up like smoke from the holiday grills

Boiling noodles like my boiling brain

Looking over winter chills

A river frozen like a spine

The bird violin no longer swoops the streets

It is too long until spring

Can liberate the landscape

My nosebleed turns into milk

Above the steaming hills of rice porridge

Powdered sugar swallows us all

Like a bunch of weirdos that we are

Mom puts the skies

Into an electric mixer

And switches to turbo
